Howl & Harry

[ Mood: Sleepy ]

[ Listening to: Madita-It's June]

On Tuesday, March 7th, Howl's Moving Castle and Harry Potter:the Goblet of Fire came out on DVD! Actually I knew about the latter but not about "Howl". But when I saw the stunning artwork on the DVD cover, I could not help but make the purchase. How could I resist? I am a Studio Ghibli enthusiast after all.So after watching the two DVD's that same night...(notice the pattern of not being able to resist things here) I patted myself on the back for making two very wise purchases. Both DVD's were well worth the hard earned bucks. Very happy to have them upon my humble DVD collection~

Anywho, I reckon that was the highlight of my week, but then, it's not over yet. Tomorrow,Saturday is yet to come~ Today Friday though, I did some major work on my Sunny Side website. I am determined to make my deadline of having it launched in March 2006, like the nice little seal says.(click banner to your left...)

I really felt March succumbing to the season of spring today. It was a relief to step outside into a warm gusty windblown landscape. Winter always turns to spring...

*Yawn* Unlike my other entries were written much earlier in the day, right now it is almost 10 PM. So after a productive day, I think it's time to wind down and get some rest. 'Till next time~~

Cezanne Never Gave Up!

[ Mood: Cheerful ]

Hello, friends~! Thank you so much to everyone who visited my site and gave me critique, praise, etc. I surely appreciate your support! I am going to continue working hard and learning from everything. I think perhaps, this is the best way for one to grow as an artist. I remember reading once in the Buddhist newspaper I subscribe to about the story of Cezanne the painter...how he lived his life with such passion in his artworks, working relentlessly to capture a certain perfection in his paintings, never giving up until the very end. People thought he was crazy and they did not understand his artworks...but after he died, in today's world, his art is very much appreciated in museums over the world and he is regarded as a great painter. That said, I am going to do my best to apply the same attitude towards my art and designs. I hope all of my friends too can apply this never give up attitude and passion to their own dreams and pursuits.

So, an extreme change in subject...four days and counting until the release of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire on DVD!!! ^_^;; Thanks to a good friend of mine lending me the Harry Potter books, I've been able to read up on the series recently. Why it took me this long to discover the magic of Harry Potter, I do not know but I am extremely thankful that I have finally discovered it. I am 200 pages into Book 5 now and enjoying every page. Anyway, I never went to see the Goblet of Fire in theatres so I can't wait for it to come out on DVD so I can purchase it and finally see it since I read the book already. Does anyone know if there have been any talk about when the 5th movie will be coming out? I am guessing probably in November again right?

Anywho, enough of me geeking out over HP. >_< I want to let everyone know that I will be updating this website(not to mention blog)every Friday so...do stay tuned~! This week I fixed the links page and the works page. Oh and the February '06 wallpaper has been up-I think maybe I should fill in the white square so people know that it is not blank but there is actually something there when you click the wallpaper size...okie enough rambling. ke ke ke~ Peace Out! enjoy the weekend everyone~!

Hello, Out There~~~

[ Mood: Cheerful ]

Hello, everyone~! So I launched pb dot net 2006 today-yay~! finally *cough, cough* I am really happy with this new design and I am looking forward to creating some new works to add in the WORKS section throughout the year. Also, this is my first time building a blog onto my site. I noticed some artists have these blogs to keep track of their art or art related activities throughout daily life so I thought it'd be a neat idea to follow suit.

Below is a picture of three characters that lord over my Dell computer workstation. I like creating foamboard cutouts of my characters, not to mention sculptures out of polymer clay. When I have time, I will make some more of these and post pics of them, too. it's fun~!

on the top of my computer, live Chibi Paula with sculptures of Pixie & Andy
